Dr. Brown graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown PEI in 2008. Originally from New Brunswick, she moved to Ontario after graduation and has been here ever since. She started working at Clark Animal Hospital in 2010 and took over ownership in 2014. When not at the clinic or snuggling with her cat Butter, she enjoys being outside in her garden, as well as hiking and camping.
Dr. Cross graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004. She practiced in Brantford for 3 years, before joining the Clark Animal Hospital team in 2008. Sheila enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially general surgery. Outside of work Sheila enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Shanna is one of the friendly faces that you may have seen around Clark Animal Hospital over the years. She graduated from the RVT program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus in 2010 and works hard to keep our team in line! Shanna is married to her husband Neil and has 2 children Kaylee and Kyler. She is also mom to two Golden Retriever fur babies named Murphy and Charlie
Nikki graduated from the veterinary technician program at Seneca college in 2010. She enjoys creating an interactive educational experience for pet owners and veterinary staff. She has a passion for nursing care and performing laboratory work. Her favorite thing is cuddling with all the adorable animals that she gets to take care of daily. Nikki lives in Kitchener with her partner and 2 cats.
Marc joined our team in 2021 after having graduated from Sheridan’s Veterinary Technician program. Previously, Marc graduated from U of G with an Honors BSc in Animal Biology and has worked and volunteered in veterinary clinics for over 12 years. In the clinic, Marc enjoys working with fearful dogs, performing lab work, and monitoring anesthesia during surgical procedures. Marc has a dog named Nala, an axolotl named toothless, and multiple fish
Sam has been a part of our team since 2017. She completed her Honors BSc in Animal Biology in 2022, and just recently completed her Masters in Companion Animal Nutrition at the University of Guelph. As such, she has quickly become our Go-To for all of our nutrition cases! In her free time, you can find her horseback riding, hiking, fishing, or hanging out with her quirky cat, Jinx.
Michelle is one of our amazing veterinary assistants. She has been with Clark Animal Hospital for 15 years and knows exactly how to make every client and patient feel comfortable and welcome. She knows how to make anyone laugh and she’ll treat your animal as if they were her own! In her spare time, Michelle enjoys playing hockey and going to the gym!
Mel graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at St. Lawrence College in 2013 and has been working in clinics ever since.
Over her 10 years in the vet med field, Mel has worked with many different species including exotics, wildlife, and pocket pets but her heart truly lies with companion animals. Mel enjoys spending her free time crafting, watching horror movies and spending time with her delinquent cat Phil Collins.
Brenda joined us in 2023 after a long career in human healthcare. She now enjoys welcoming you into our clinic and fussing over your pets. She is affectionally known as “Auntie Brenda” and believes pets should never leave the clinic without hugs, scratches and treats! She has a deaf Australian Cattle Dog to whom she has taught sign language, and is a die-hard Leafs fan.
